I have just beaten the normal storyline of Super Mario 3D Land and I have a few tips for my giant, green shelled, Koopa-king of an adversary

1) If you truly, really, absolutely, unabashedly want Mario to stop interfering in your plans then stop giving him the ability to blow the bridge you're on. However if you do then don't be on the receiving end.
2) Don't kidnap Peach unless you're prepared for an ass-kicking via your beloved Italian plumber. Yet you never seem to learn that lesson...
3) MORE. LAVA. I suggest beginning with "inconceivably impossible amounts". You've done well with lava before and the tactic never ceases to produce the expected results. As the saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". To reiterate, you need more lava. Shoot the stuff in steady streams right at him if you must. Or even an advancing wall. You haven't tried that before.

Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 Get Release Dates

Earlier today, at Nintendo’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, a lot of announcements regarding the 3DS were made. Among those announcements were the release dates for the two upcoming 3DS titles, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

Firstly, Super Mario 3D Land will making its way to stores starting November 13. It will be the first ever 3D Mario platforming experience and players will be able to scout levels and find secrets before they even play by using the built-in gyro sensor feature on their 3DS. The game will also feature propeller blocks and StreetPass functionality.

Next, Mario Kart 7 will be available starting December 4. The game will feature a first-person driving mode for the first time ever using the gyro sensor. Characters such as Lakitu and Metal Mario will also be playable for the first time and a new tricks system, similar to the one in Mario Kart Wii will also be introduced.

Also, the 3DS will be getting an important system update this November. This update will give users the ability to capture 3D video footage. It will also provide new experiences and challenges for those of you who have completed all the StreetPass challenges in StreetPass Mii Plaza.

In case you missed it (here’s some more 3DS stuff that was announced earlier today)
